Significance
New and upcoming regulations such as EU New Battery Law Regulation 2023/1542 impose new requirements on battery sustainability and safety. The regulations stipulate that the Digital Product Passport (DPP) must be used by 2027, and that it must include digital records of important information such as product composition, origin and life cycle.The NXP EdgeLock A30 security authenticator provides a fast and scalable solution that makes it easier to meet these new requirements.

The EdgeLock A30 Secure Authenticator is compatible with standard MCUs and MPUs, including NXP MCX MCUs and I. MX MPU.It has up to 16KB of memory that can be used to securely store credentials and easily store additional credentials.It has achieved CC (Common Criteria) EAL 6 + AVA _ VAN. 5 certification and supports both symmetric and asymmetric cryptography.In addition, it simplifies key management and key provisioning for easy deployment through a public key infrastructure (PKI).The EdgeLock A30 is designed to scale quickly to high-volume applications and is supported by the EdgeLock 2go service for certificate delivery and additional certificate generation.
